Dive Team
The Covered Bridge Dive Team is a member of the South Jersey Diving Association (SJDA), which consists of 17 South Jersey teams divided into three division (Northern, Central, Southern) and supports 1-meter and 3-meter springboard diving. The dive team is open to all member children under the age of 19 yrs. The summer dive season is comprised of three 1-meter division qualifier meets held on Sunday mornings and a Championship meet with all three divisions held in July. 3-meter diving consists of one Invitational meet and a Championship meet both in July with no qualification requirements.
Divers learn and compete on the 1-meter springboard. The optional 3-meter diving is dependent on coach availability, diver interest, and 3-meter club availability. Dive Team members are not required to attend dive meets; you can just come and learn how to dive and have fun. Dive practice is held in the morning and swim team members interested in diving can attend dive practice before or after their swim team practice.
Come join the CBSC team that originated “Fun Day Monday”, the day after dive competition meets. We have SJDA record holders currently on our team and would love to see more members join our great dive team!

2018 Swim/Dive Team News
ONLINE REGISTRATION IS OPEN
Please go to the CBSC website where you can click on the link to register or enter in the following web address: www.teamunify.com/rectpcbcnj. The team waiver and code of conduct will be completed online. The meet and event volunteer positions are located under the events tab on the website. Each event has its own job signup. Please remember that all families are responsible for volunteering at 3 meets and serving on one committee.
MANDATORY PARENT MEETING: SUNDAY, MAY 22nd
Parents of all swim and dive team members, new and old, are asked to attend a mandatory meeting at the pool on Sunday, May 22nd at 4:00 PM. It is imperative that all parents attend to review team rules, procedures and volunteer opportunities. Please come and welcome our Head Swim Coach Shawn Fitzpatrick and our Dive Coach Corinne Finkbinder. The handbook, season calendars, dive team and A & B meet schedules will all be reviewed.
TRI COUNTY OFFICIALS TRAINING CLINIC: TBA
We need several people to be trained in order to have swim meets. Please consider being trained for one of these positions: Stroke & Turn, Starter /Referee (previous stroke and turn officials only) and Scorer Table. Check for additional dates & times for trainings at our parent meeting.
SWIM/DIVE TEAM KICKOFF PARTY: TBA
All swim and dive team members are invited to come on out to the Season Kickoff Party! There will be music, dancing, and games; team shirts will be distributed. Each family is asked to bring a snack or dessert to share.
DANZEISEN & QUIGLEY
We will be using the same swim suit as last year. The name of it is the Dolfin Viper. The suit can be purchased for a discount at Danzeisen & Quigley. D & Q will continue with their team weeks where all swim gear in the stores is on sale for 20% off and practice suits will be 50% off. The swim team suits are discounted all of the time. The dates are as follows: TBA

After school practice will begin on Tuesday, May 30th. Practice will be held from 4-6pm, Monday-Friday. Divers can come to practice at any time during this practice session.
Morning practices begin Monday, June 19th. Groups and practice times will be determined based upon age and the number of divers and will be posted at the pool. Practice groups will be scheduled between 8:30-11am. Swim team members can dive before or after their swim team practice.
