We have a very exciting 2020 season planned for all of our swimmers and divers! Get ready for a fun-filled summer of pancake breakfasts, age-group outings, and pep rallies!
After an undefeated season last year, our swim team is moving back up to the “C” division, and we are looking forward to an exciting season with lots of competitive meets. We are thrilled to welcome back our head coach, Luke Wister, as well as our assistants, Maddie Franke and Tommy Schurer. We are also continuing our pre-team program for younger swimmers who aren’t yet ready for the demands of the 8 and under practice. We strongly encourage you to sign your swimmers up for spring swimming to prepare them for the start of our season, which is less than 12 weeks away! We will once again be having our own spring warm-up program, led by Coach Luke, taking place this year at Nexxt Level in Voorhees throughout April and May so please stay tuned for details!
We are excited about our 2020 dive season as well. We are happy to announce that our very own Lexie Young will be our new head dive coach. We hope to welcome all of our current divers back to the team, and we would love to see some new faces as well. Again this year, if you are on the swim team and would like to dive, we are offering half off the dive fee so your children can spend their entire morning at CBSC! Please encourage your children to try our dive team. It is fun, exhilarating, and proves to build confidence.
The Covered Bridge Crocs are members of the Tri-County Swimming Pool Association, which consists of 34 teams comprising Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties. The swim team is open to all member children under the age of 19 years. The summer swim season is comprised of 8 dual meets - 5 "A" meets and 3 "B" meets. "A" meets are held on Saturday mornings, "B" meets on Wednesday evenings. The Covered Bridge Crocs compete in Cherry Bowl Championship, comprising of all 13 Cherry Hill swim clubs, and Tri-County Championships, comprised of the 34 swim clubs of Tri-County. The Covered Bridge Crocs have brought home the coveted "Cherry Bowl" 6 times out of the last 15 years and are repeat top 10 finishers in the Tri-County Championships.
Our swim team boasts a strong developmental program and welcomes swimmers of all levels and ages into our "Croc Family".

The CBSC Swim Team is in need of Scorers, Stroke/Turn Officials, and Starter/Referee Officials for the 2020 swim season. Please consider volunteering your time to assist in managing our swim meets. The team waiver and code of conduct will be completed online. The meet and event volunteer positions are located under the events tab on the website. Each event has its own job signup. Please remember that all families are responsible for volunteering at 3 meets and serving on one committee.
MANDATORY PARENT MEETING
The 2020 Swim/Dive Team Mandatory Parent Meetings will be held on Sunday, May 17th at 3 pm, Thursday, May 21st at 6:30 pm, and Wednesday, May 27th at 6:30 pm. It is imperative that all parents attend one of these meetings to review team rules, procedures, and volunteer opportunities. You must attend a meeting before your child can swim or dive. We will review team rules, procedures and volunteer opportunities. Please come and meet Head Swim Coach Luke Wister and our Dive Coach Dillon Hall. The handbook, season calendars, dive team and A & B meet schedules will all be reviewed.
TRI-COUNTY OFFICIALS TRAINING CLINIC: TBA
We need several people to be trained in order to have swim meets. Please consider being trained for one of these positions: Stroke & Turn, Starter /Referee (previous stroke and turn officials only) and Scorer Table. Check for additional dates & times for trainings at our parent meeting.

We will be using a new vendor for swim suits this year. The name of it is the Dolfin XtraSleek Eco Red Spyker. The suit can be purchased here.
2020 SWIM PRACTICE SCHEDULE
From May 26th through June 19th (weekdays only) the practice schedule will be:
*ADDITIONAL PRACTICE TIMES: These practices are for anyone who cannot swim during their scheduled practice. Please sign up with Coach Luke one week prior.
DIVE PRACTICE SCHEDULE
After school practice will begin on Tuesday, May 26th. Practice will be held from 4-6pm on Mondays & Fridays and from 6:30-8 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays. Divers can come to practice at any time during this practice session.
Morning practices begin Monday, June 22nd. Groups and practice times will be determined based upon age and the number of divers and will be posted at the pool. Swim team members can dive before or after their swim team practice.
PRE-TEAM PROGRAM
If you have an 8 and under swimmer who is unable to swim the length of the pool unassisted, they may still register for the swim team, but they will participate in our pre-team program. These swimmers will be assigned a practice time from 11:00 to 11:30 or from 11:30 to 12:00 Monday through Friday from June 24th through July 19th and are able to “graduate” to the regular 8 and under practice throughout the season as their skills improve. They are also encouraged to swim in the kickboard races in our Wednesday evening B meets. We will hold an evaluation for our pre-team swimmers on Saturday, June 8th at 10:00 am so that the coaches can group them according to ability level.
